On August 5, 2007 the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team organized the 20th
Self-Transcendence Marathon Swim on Lake Zurich, with a record
participation of more than a hundred solo swimmers and relay teams from
all over the world. Many came from Great Britain and two swimmers came
all the way from India to this popular Marathon Swim over a distance of
26.4 k from Rapperswil to Zurich. This year's winner in the main men's
category was David Cech from Brno, Czech Republic; first among the
women was Nancy Douglas from Wales. Relive these moments of joy in the
water with our summary of the 2007 event.
