Join Jwalanta Voelckner in a volley of amazing features: an interview with Russian mountaineer Jury Koshelenko following his experiences on Lothse Middle peak in the Himalayas, a troupe of deaf-mute Chinese dancers, and a portfolio of stunning photographs from Gilbert Colbert. Colbert's project is the result of 14 years of intensive work as a photographer and filmmaker in various rural parts of the world, showing the artistic interactions between man and animal. His exhibition "ashes & snow" can be seen in a special exhibition space at the pier in Santa Monica until middle of May 2006.
