Sri Chinmoy TV was launched in 2005, to present the rare opportunity to watch a living spiritual Master in his day to day multifarious activities. During his lifetime, thousands of hours of archival footage was created by his students showing Sri Chinmoy in meditation, in concert, in the act of creating a work of art or music, or many of the other activities he immersed himself into in keeping with his philosophy that spirituality was not a means of escape from the world, but a means of accepting it, loving it and changing it for the better.
Sri Chinmoy TV also offers videos about the activities of the Sri Chinmoy Centre, which was founded by Sri Chinmoy as a means whereby his students could meet together for meditation and other spiritual activies, but also to be of service to the general public in their own quest for happiness. To this end, Sri Chinmoy Centres around the world offer free meditation classes, concerts, and other cultural and athletic events.
