The European Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team organized its 21st International Self-Transcendence 12+24 Hour Race in Basel, Switzerland with 139 participants from 20 countries. As usual the race was appreciated by the ultra runners because of its support around the clock and the friendly atmosphere. Fastest 24 hour runners in the main category were Kai Horschig with 212 k and Carmen Hildebrand with 207 k, both from Germany. The 12 hour winners were Swiss Simon Schmid (129 k) and Regina Berger-Schmitt (111 k) from Germany.
