This video shows a brief moment of Sri Chinmoy’s seated and walking meditation, followed by the recitation of a translation of Sri Aurobindo’s Durga Stotra. Next is Chinmoy’s own poem, “The Mother”.

“Day in and day out Durga fights to establish the Divine Truth here on earth. When Sri Ramachandra was engaged in a terrible fight against the demon Ravana, he prayed to this particular goddess. Durga showered her utmost blessings upon the devoted head and heart of Sri Ramachandra and he won the battle.”

Sri Chinmoy, The dance of the cosmic gods

Excerpt from the recitation of Sri Aurobindo’s translated hymn:

“Mother Durga! We are thy children, through thy grace, by thy influence may we become fit for the great work, for the great Ideal. Mother, destroy our smallness, our selfishness, our fear.”
