In this excerpt from the programme “Father Tom”, with Catholic Monsignor Thomas Hartman (director of television center for the Diocese of Rockville Centre), Sri Chinmoy explains about the soul and how the soul manifests itself through the body, vital (life energy and emotions), mind and heart. On a second question, he describes how the seeker should claim God as his own and that one can feel God as a living reality.
“… Our philosophy is that the soul gets the light from God directly, and the soul is offering the light, blessingfully, to the heart, the mind, the vita, to the physical… we know that there is something in us, but we have to claim it as our own, very own. We don’t claim God; we are afraid of God…”
