Sri Chinmoy Recites Poetry In Europe

Last modified May 23, 2005

Poetry is an integral part of Sri Chinmoy’s creative work. Every day he
writes new poems and over the Christmas vacations there are thousands
of new ones. When you read them you learn the secrets of modern
spirituality, but when you hear the writer reciting them himself you
can receive even more of the meaning. The mantric quality of each poem
becomes like a deep and colorful sound wave that permeates the heart.
On SriChinmoy.tv we present a series of recitations that were recorded
in Stockholm in 1990 and in Oslo in 2001. Parts 1 to 3 is a series of
poem recitations in Stockholm, each presented in the original Bengali
version, then the English translation; part 4 consists of 17 only
English recitations, and is the longest clip at over 8 minutes. All
videos were taken in the Music Academy of Stockholm.

Clips of the poetry program in Oslo can be watched here.
