Canada’s Oneness Heart 1976

On June 24th 1976 a team of runners running in relay set off carrying a flaming torch from Canada’s capital Ottawa. Their destination, more than 500 miles away was Liberty Island, the site of the Statue of Liberty in New York. Sixty-six hours later the runners of Canada’s Oneness-Heart completed the relay which demonstrated their love and support for their American brothers and sisters and their feeling of oneness with the American Bicentennial spirit. Peace Swim 2026

This morning, at Sun Gardens Dubrovnik, approximately 30 disciples participated in a Peace Swim, in honour of the 40th anniversary of the first Peace Swim (Hiroshima, Jan 1, 1986). In that year, the United Nations proclaimed 1986 as the Year of Peace.

Between 1984 and 2007, Sri Chinmoy offered 777 Peace Concerts at venues across the world. During these concerts of prayerful and meditative music, Sri Chinmoy sought to offer an experience of inner peace to the audience. On the last day of the 2015 Self Transcendence 3100 Mile Race, first-time runner and soon-to-be finisher Nirbhasa Magee shares his thoughts on the significance of the race. Nirbhasa finished the race in a time of 51 days and 12 hours, becoming the first Irishman to do so. On 24 March 1984, Sri Chinmoy offered his first major Peace Concert in the Kölner Sporthalle in Cologne, Germany. 8000 seekers attended and it was the start of a worldwide series of Peace Concerts.  This is an original VHS recording and the video quality is not perfect, but it gives a small impression of these Peace Concerts.
